Flaky, cheesy croissant rolls packed with pepperoni are just plain fun to eat. Buttery dough wraps up gooey mozzarella with pepperoni for bites you'll want more of. These get golden outside, stay cheesy inside, and have a classic Italian kick everyone will love. Anytime we have a family game or movie night, these disappear first. Folks can’t resist that stringy cheese when it pulls apart.

Our latest trick? We brush melted garlic butter on the dough before baking. It takes things up a notch, and now it’s our signature move.

Tasty Match-Ups

Dunk these croissant bites into marinara for extra flavor. Plate with a crisp salad to cut the richness and sip on sparkling Italian soda. They’re also perfect dipped into tomato soup for a cozy meal.

Fun Ways To Switch It Up

Swap in gooey provolone or fontina for mozzarella if you want. Try basil leaves or switch out pepperoni for ham or turkey. Go veggie with mushrooms and roasted peppers too.

Keep Them Fresh

Leftovers? Just pop them in an airtight tub in your fridge up to three days. Warm up for five minutes at 350°F in the oven or toaster oven to keep that crispy bite and melty cheese center. After giving these countless tries over the years, I know great mozzarella and sealing up the ends make all the difference. These snacks are what I serve when friends show up last minute, and they always win everyone over.

Ingredients

→ Essentials

01 Italian seasoning, toss some on if you want
02 1 package crescent dough, you'll get 8 rolls out of it
03 32 pieces pepperoni
04 4 mozzarella stick snacks, split in half

Instructions

Step 01

Lay out parchment paper on your baking tray to avoid sticking, and crank your oven up to 375°F (190°C) so it can heat while you prep.

Step 02

Unroll the crescent dough, then pull apart all 8 triangle pieces.

Step 03

Start at the fat end of each triangle, put on 4 slices of pepperoni, then add half a mozzarella stick on top.

Step 04

Roll the triangles up starting from the thick side all the way to the pointy tip. Pinch the ends so your melty cheese doesn't drip out. Add a dash of Italian seasoning if you want extra flavor.

Step 05

Toss your rolls on the tray and bake for 10-12 minutes. You'll know they're ready when you see a golden color and you're hungry just from the smell.

Notes

  1. They're a hit at chill hangouts or while everyone watches the game.
  2. Keep any that stick around in a container in the fridge for two days max. Heat them up in the oven so they stay crispy.
  3. Throw in some chopped jalapeños for a kick or use any cheese you like.
