Golden crescent dough bundled around gooey cheese and slathered with rich garlic butter turn out to be a crowd-pleasing snack or side. They're soft, cheesy, and have that satisfying garlic kick in every warm bite. Letting the dough chill out on the counter until it's no longer cold makes it easier to handle and helps keep it from ripping.

My kids have a blast rolling these up with me, and we’ve realized a smear of marinara before the cheese makes them kind of like gooey pizza pockets.

Tasty Ways to Serve

Serve them with ranch or marinara for dunking. They pair really well with spaghetti or as party snacks during a football game.

Fun Twists to Try

Mix in pesto, spice it with pepperoni, or use a combo of cheeses. Shake everything bagel seasoning on before baking for extra crunch.

How to Store Like a Pro

Pop leftovers in a sealed container for up to 2 days. Toss them in the oven or air fryer to crisp them back up. After loads of test runs, I found that if you overlap the dough just a little as you roll, you get a tight seal that keeps the cheese from leaking everywhere.

01 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
02 1 cup mozzarella, pulled apart
03 1 tube (8 oz) of crescent rolls, chilled

Step 02

In a tiny bowl, stir together your melted butter, chopped garlic, herb mix, and salt.

Step 03

Layer each dough triangle with the mozzarella first, then a dusting of Parmesan. Roll them up from the fatter end till you hit the skinny tip.

Step 04

Tear open your crescent roll can and pull apart 8 dough triangles.

Step 05

Fire up your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pop some parchment on a pan so nothing sticks.
