Sausage Parmesan Pasta (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 teaspoon Italian herbs.
02 - 1 pound of sliced smoked sausage or Italian links.
03 - 4 tablespoons butter, use in parts.
04 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
05 - 3 finely chopped garlic cloves.
06 - 1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream.
07 - 12 ounces of pasta, penne or fettuccine work well.
08 - 1 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder seasoning.
10 - Dash of red pepper flakes (optional kick).
11 - Salt and pepper, adjust to your liking.
12 - Fresh parsley leaves for decoration.

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Cook the sausage slices on medium heat using oil until golden, takes about 4-5 minutes. Then set aside.
02 - In the same pan, melt butter, then cook the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes. Put sausage back in and stir in herbs, salt, and pepper.
03 - Boil salted water, cook pasta till it’s got a slight bite (al dente). Save half a cup of the pasta water before draining.
04 - In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in cream and garlic powder, then bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually mix in Parmesan until smooth.
05 - Combine the pasta and sauce in a bowl, using reserved water if it seems dry. Toss with sausage on top and sprinkle parsley.
