Sausage Egg Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup milk
02 - 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
03 - 1 pound of breakfast sausage (switch to spicy or Italian if you prefer)
04 - 1 teaspoon salt
05 - 6 large eggs
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (substitute with any cheese blend you like)

09 - 1/4 cup finely chopped onions (optional)
10 - 1/2 cup chopped spinach leaves (optional)
11 - 2 cups bread chunks (optional)
12 - 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a skillet over medium and cook the sausage, breaking it up into pieces as it browns. Once cooked, drain the fat and set it aside.
02 - Grab a large bowl and whisk together the eggs, milk, smoked paprika, garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Make sure everything’s mixed well.
03 - Use a greased baking dish. Start with a layer of sausage, then sprinkle in bread cubes if you’re using them, and any veggies like spinach, onions, or bell peppers. Follow with shredded cheese. Pour the egg mixture all over until it’s evenly coated.
04 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for about 30-40 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the top looks golden and the center is firm.
05 - Once it’s done baking, let it sit for 5 minutes to cool off a bit. Slice it up and enjoy while it’s warm.
