# What You'll Need:

→ Making the Fritters

01 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
02 - 2 cups plain flour
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/3 cup white sugar
05 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
06 - 2 large eggs
07 - 1/2 cup milk (use whole)
08 - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
09 - 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
10 - 1 1/2 cups chopped apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
11 - 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter

→ Sugary Coating

12 - 2-3 tablespoons milk
13 - 1 cup icing sugar
14 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavor

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F. Prepare a baking tray by laying on parchment or hitting it with cooking spray.
02 - Mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl. Stir until it’s all blended well.
03 - In another bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until it’s smooth.
04 - Combine the wet mixture into the dry stuff and stir gently, just enough so there are no dry bits left. Carefully stir in the apple pieces.
05 - Plop spoonfuls of batter onto your tray, keeping them a couple of inches apart. Put it in the oven for about 14-16 minutes, until the tops are nice and golden.
06 - While your fritters cool a bit, stir together the vanilla, milk, and powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and ready to drizzle.
07 - Pour the glaze over your warm fritters and let it set for a few minutes before enjoying.

# Additional Notes:

01 - They’re best warm, so if they’ve cooled too much, zap them in the microwave for 10 seconds.
02 - Toss in chopped nuts for a crunchy twist.
03 - Want runnier or thicker glaze? Use more or less milk to get it just right.
