Velvet Cookies Simple (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/3 cup (67g) white sugar.
02 - 1/2 cup (113g) butter, unsalted and melted.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
04 - 2 tablespoons (10g) cocoa powder, unsweetened.
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
07 - 3/4 cup (128g) milk or dark chocolate chips.
08 - 1 1/2 cups (186g) flour, all-purpose.
09 - 1 teaspoon red food dye.
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
11 - 1 teaspoon white vinegar.
12 - 3/4 cup (128g) white chocolate chips.
13 - 1/2 cup (100g) packed brown sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Lay a baking mat or parchment paper on your cookie sheets.
02 - Stir butter, cocoa, and both sugars together. Toss in egg, baking soda, vanilla, and salt. Mix flour into it all.
03 - Blend the food dye and vinegar in. Fold in the chocolate chip varieties.
04 - Scoop dough into 2-Tbsp-sized balls. Pop onto trays and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
05 - Bake at 350°F for around 10-13 minutes until they look matte. Let cookies sit on sheets to cool.

# Notes:

01 - If using gel dye, lower it to 1/2 teaspoon.
02 - Add vinegar at the end so it works properly.
03 - You can swap chips with cream cheese frosting.
