Three Cheese Lasagna (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat Sauce

01 - 24 oz jarred marinara
02 - 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
03 - Half a teaspoon of sugar
04 - 1/4 cup beef broth or dry red wine
05 - 1 pound of ground beef, 15-20% fat
06 - Two tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
07 - 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
08 - A medium-sized onion, diced small
09 - A spoon of olive oil
10 - One-half teaspoon salt
11 - Two big cloves of garlic, minced

→ Cheese Layer

12 - 4 cups of mozzarella, split
13 - 15 oz light ricotta
14 - 16 oz cottage cheese, low-fat
15 - A large egg
16 - Two tablespoons of parsley, chopped up

→ Pasta

17 - 9 lasagna sheets

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil in a skillet and brown the beef with the onion. Stir in garlic, broth or wine, marinara, and spices. Let it simmer for 5 min.
02 - Mix ricotta, cottage cheese, the egg, parsley, and 1 cup of mozzarella together.
03 - Boil lasagna sheets until tender but firm, rinse under cool water, and set aside to dry.
04 - Layer noodles, meat sauce, and cheeses in a baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes at 375°F. Broil briefly until bubbly and golden.

# Notes:

01 - Wait 30 minutes before slicing to serve.
02 - Keep foil off cheese by using toothpicks.
03 - You can chill it overnight if making earlier.
