01 - 500g (1 lb) skinless, boneless chicken thighs or breasts, chopped into small pieces
02 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
03 - 1/2 tsp salt
04 - 2 tbsp cornstarch
05 - 2 tbsp cooking oil

→ Sauce Mix

06 - 3 tbsp soy sauce
07 - 1/3 cup honey
08 - 1 tbsp apple cider or rice vinegar
09 - 2 minced garlic cloves
10 - 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
11 - 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger (optional)
12 - 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water

→ Toppings

13 - Green onions sliced thin
14 - Toasted sesame seeds

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Mix chicken with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper in a dish until it’s covered evenly.
02 - Using a large skillet on medium-high heat, cook the chicken in oil for around 4-5 minutes per side. Flip once golden and ensure it’s cooked through.
03 - Turn the heat to medium-low. Add honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and vinegar into the pan. Stir, simmer, and thicken with the cornstarch slurry.
04 - Toss the cooked chicken back into the pan with the sauce. Let it heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring to coat. Top with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Use less honey for a less sweet result.
02 - For extra crispiness, fry the chicken in a couple of smaller batches.
