Hamburger Supreme Casserole (Printable Version)

Cheesy pasta with beef and a creamy sauce, all baked together.

# What You'll Need:

→ Protein

01 - 1 pound of ground beef

→ Aromatics

02 - 2 minced cloves of garlic
03 - 1 diced small onion

→ Seasonings

04 - 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
05 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt
06 - 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning

→ Pasta

07 - 8 ounces of your favorite pasta or egg noodles

→ Sauce

08 - 1 cup of sour cream
09 - 1 drained can (14.5 oz) of diced tomatoes
10 - 1 can (10.5 oz) of cream of mushroom soup

→ Cheese

11 - 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese (save half for the top)
12 - 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

→ Garnish (Optional)

13 - 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley, if you'd like

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring it to a boil. Toss in the pasta and cook following the instructions on the packaging until it's just tender. Drain it and leave it to cool for a bit.
02 - Heat up a big skillet on medium, then add the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Stir while breaking apart the beef, cooking it until browned and the onions are soft (takes about 6–8 minutes). Get rid of extra grease.
03 - Sprinkle the beef mix with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir together, toss in the diced tomatoes, and let it cook for an extra couple of minutes (2 or 3). Then take it off the heat.
04 - In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with sour cream until it's smooth and creamy.
05 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large baking dish (9x13-inch), start layering—first half of your cooked pasta, then half of the beef mix, followed by half of the creamy sauce, and 3/4 cup of cheddar cheese. Do these layers again and finish it off with Parmesan cheese on top.
06 - Cover it up with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Pull off the foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and looking golden.
07 - Let it sit for a moment before cutting into it. Sprinkle with some parsley if you'd like. Serve warm and dig in!

# Additional Notes:

01 - Great idea for family dinners or hectic evenings.
02 - Swap out the beef for ground chicken or turkey to lighten it up.
03 - Toss in extra veggies like mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers.
