Potsticker Soup Dumplings (Printable Version)

A cozy soup with dumplings in a tasty broth, finished off with fresh greens. Quick, easy, and perfect for chilly nights.

# What You'll Need:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - About 12 to 15 frozen dumplings—store-bought or your homemade stash both work
02 - 4 cups of broth—chicken or veggie, whatever suits your taste
03 - 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to bring that nutty magic
04 - 1 tablespoon of soy sauce—just the standard one from your pantry

→ Veggies & Aromatics

05 - A couple teaspoons of fresh ginger, grated for an extra kick
06 - 2 garlic cloves, minced finely
07 - 1/2 cup of bok choy or spinach—either is a great pick here
08 - A handful of green onions, sliced—these are for a nice garnish
09 - Optional: 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced for that extra texture

→ Finishing Touches & Flavor Boosters

10 - 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar—gives a lovely, tangy touch (optional)
11 - A shake of salt and a bit of pepper—season how you like
12 - 1 teaspoon of chili oil or some red pepper flakes for those who enjoy a kick

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat sesame oil in a roomy pot over medium. Add garlic and ginger, giving them a minute to work their aroma magic. Pour in the broth, soy sauce, and if you’re using it, a splash of rice vinegar. Let it all hang out and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes to let the flavors cozy up.
02 - Carefully pop the frozen dumplings right into that broth. Let them cook for about 5 to 7 minutes to heat through. Got mushrooms or greens? Toss them in for their turn for the last minute or two.
03 - Taste your broth, then adjust however you like—some salt, maybe a touch of pepper. If you want to bring the heat, your chili oil or flakes are ready to jump in. Turn off the heat when it’s just right.
04 - Scoop a helping of broth, dumplings, and veggies into your favorite bowls. Top it off with green onions and a little extra sesame oil for that final hit of flavor.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Need extra depth? Add a splash of tamari or fish sauce to the broth.
02 - Want more bulk? Toss in veggies you love or add cooked noodles to the pot.
03 - Making it vegan is a breeze! Just switch to veggie broth and plant-based dumplings.
