Pecan Pie Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup packed light brown sugar.
02 - 1 cup softened unsalted butter.
03 - 1/2 cup white sugar.
04 - 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
05 - 2 eggs, large size.
06 - 2 1/2 cups plain flour.
07 - 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
08 - 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon table salt.
10 - 1 cup of caramel sauce.
11 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
12 - 1/4 cup of maple syrup.
13 - Whole pecans for decoration.

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 350°F. Cover a tray with parchment paper.
02 - Beat the butter with sugars until creamy. Mix in the eggs one at a time. Add vanilla last.
03 - Stir together flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon. Slowly mix into the wet dough.
04 - Gently fold the chopped pecans into the dough to spread evenly.
05 - Scoop rounded tablespoons onto the tray. Bake until edges are golden, about 10-12 minutes.
06 - Heat up the caramel sauce and maple syrup. Stir until smooth.
07 - Cool cookies, drizzle caramel over, and press a pecan on top of each one.
