Give your fries a couple of minutes to cool, then get snacking on those crisp, golden bites.
02 -
Flip your fries at the halfway mark. Slide them into that hot oven on your baking sheet. Keep plenty of space between each. Bake them for 25 to 30 minutes till they're crispy like you want.
03 -
Pat the fries nice and dry with paper towels. In a mixing bowl, combine the fries with olive oil and all your spices. If you want, sprinkle in cornstarch and stir until they're all coated.
04 -
Drop the cut fries into cold water for half an hour. This step helps them turn out crispy by pulling out extra starch.
05 -
Slice your sweet potatoes into fries, about a quarter inch thick, peeling them only if you really want. Try making them all about the same size so they bake evenly.
06 -
Crank up your oven to 425°F (220°C). Stick a baking sheet in there while everything heats up—it'll help those fries crisp up better.
