Set oven to 400°F. Spray mini muffin pans. Fry the sausage, break it into bits, and drain excess grease.

Combine water and pancake mix until smooth. Toss in the sausage, syrup, and cheese.

Spoon the batter into the muffin pans, filling them about three-quarters of the way.

Bake for 12-15 minutes till the tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool the muffins slightly before popping them out. Add more syrup on top, if you want.
