Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts (Printable Version)

Caramelized Brussels sprouts, tossed in maple syrup and spices, roasted until crispy and golden.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main ingredients

01 - 16 oz Brussels sprouts
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil for marinating
03 - 1 tablespoon sweet paprika powder
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
07 - 4 tablespoons maple syrup

→ For baking

08 - 2 tablespoons olive oil for baking tray
09 - ½ cup sunflower oil for roasting

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Wash and dry the Brussels sprouts thoroughly. Remove any outer leaves that look wilted, trim off the ends, and cut them in half.
02 - In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, sweet paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and maple syrup. Let them marinate while you prep the oven.
03 - Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Grease a baking tray generously with sunflower oil and place it in the oven for 5-10 minutes to get the oil nice and hot.
04 - Carefully remove the hot tray from the oven. Place the Brussels sprouts cut side down on the tray for maximum caramelization. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil for extra crispiness, then put the tray back into the oven.
05 - Roast for 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden brown and crispy. Let them cool slightly and serve warm.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For extra crispiness, ensure the baking tray is hot before placing the Brussels sprouts.
02 - Cutting the Brussels sprouts in half allows for better caramelization.
