Loaded Meatloaf Casserole (Printable Version)

Turn your classic meatloaf into a creamy casserole layered with fluffy mashed potatoes, crispy bacon bits, and cheese.

# What You'll Need:

01 - 3 cups mashed potatoes.
02 - 1 pound of lean ground beef.
03 - 1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar.
04 - ⅓ cup of crispy bacon crumbles.
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - ½ cup finely diced white onion.
07 - 3 minced garlic cloves.
08 - 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.
09 - 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
10 - 1 cup of Italian-style breadcrumbs.
11 - Add salt and pepper, as much as you’d like.

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F and let it warm up.
02 - Combine in a big bowl: beef, garlic, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire, along with salt and pepper.
03 - Pack the meat mix firmly into an 8-inch baking dish.
04 - Smooth mashed potatoes over the top, scatter on the cheese, and sprinkle the bacon bits.
05 - Cover with aluminum foil and cook for half an hour.
06 - Take off the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.

01 - Make it early and chill it in the fridge.
02 - Good in the fridge for up to 3 days.
03 - Leftover mashed potatoes work perfectly here.
04 - Let it sit 5-10 minutes before you serve it up.
