01 - 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
02 - 1 box of lemon cake mix (or yellow cake mix)

03 - 1 can (21 oz) of lemon pie filling

→ Creamy Cheese Layer

04 - 1 egg
05 - 8 oz of softened cream cheese
06 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla
07 - 1/2 cup of sugar
08 - Lemon zest from one lemon

→ Final Touch

09 - Optional: powdered sugar for sprinkling

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease up a 9x13-inch pan lightly.
02 - Combine the melted butter and cake mix until crumbly. Firmly press about 2/3 of this into your pan to make the bottom layer.
03 - Evenly spoon the lemon filling over the base layer in the pan.
04 - Blend cream cheese, vanilla, sugar, lemon zest, and the egg until smooth and creamy. Pour it over the lemon layer.
05 - Sprinkle the leftover cake mix crumbs over the top. Bake it for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the middle is set.
