Quick Fried Rice Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Essentials

01 - 3 tablespoons sesame oil
02 - 3 cups cooked white rice (use rice from the day before for the best results—it’s less sticky!)

→ Veggies and Flavor Boosters

03 - 1 small onion, chopped
04 - 1 cup thawed peas and carrots (they were frozen)
05 - 2 teaspoons minced garlic

→ Sauce and Protein

06 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
07 - 2 eggs, whisked lightly

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up the sesame oil in a wok or large pan on medium-high heat until it’s nice and hot.
02 - Add the carrots, peas, garlic, and diced onion to the pan. Stir them around and cook until they’re soft and smell incredible.
03 - Move the veggies to one side of the pan and pour the eggs into the empty spot. Stir and cook them gently on medium-low heat until they’re scrambled.
04 - Stir in the soy sauce and rice. Mix thoroughly to ensure the rice gets heated up and soaks in all the flavor.
05 - Everything’s ready once it’s hot and evenly mixed. Dish it out and enjoy while it’s still warm and steamy!

# Notes:

01 - Rice from the previous day is ideal since it’s drier and doesn’t clump.
02 - Got other veggies on hand? Add them in!
03 - For a heartier meal, try tossing in some shrimp, chicken, or tofu.
