French Toast Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder.
02 - 1 pack (12 pieces) King's Hawaiian bread rolls.
03 - 3/4 cup whole milk or half & half.
04 - 1 pinch salt.
05 - 3 eggs, large.
06 - 1 tablespoon vanilla essence.
07 - 2 tablespoons soft brown sugar.
08 - 4 tablespoons cooking butter.
09 - Powdered sugar to dust on top.
10 - Fresh fruit to serve on the side.
11 - Maple syrup to drizzle over.

# Instructions:

01 - Crack the eggs into a bowl with the milk. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and a bit of salt.
02 - Use a toothpick to poke holes in the bottoms of the rolls. This makes them soak up custard better.
03 - Submerge each roll in the egg mixture for half a minute. Turn them over to coat completely. Avoid over-soaking.
04 - On medium-low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet.
05 - Cook rolls for about one minute per side, flipping to brown every edge evenly.
06 - Sprinkle with some powdered sugar and serve hot with fresh fruit and a drizzle of maple syrup.

# Notes:

01 - Don't leave the rolls in the custard too long, or they'll get soggy.
02 - Stick to medium-low heat so the rolls don’t burn.
