Festive Butter Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter.
02 - 8 ounces softened cream cheese.
03 - 1 large egg.
04 - 1 tsp vanilla extract (use pure for best flavor).
05 - 15-oz box of white cake mix.
06 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
07 - 1 1/2 cups red, green, and white sprinkles.
08 - 2 cups Ghirardelli white chocolate for melting.

# Instructions:

01 - Blend the cream cheese and butter together until creamy.
02 - Mix the egg and vanilla with the creamy mixture.
03 - Slowly add and mix in the cake mix until combined.
04 - Gently fold in about 3/4 cup of sprinkles.
05 - Cover the dough and leave it in the fridge overnight.
06 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
07 - Cover baking sheets with parchment paper.
08 - Grab small portions of dough and roll them into balls.
09 - Coat the dough balls with some added sprinkles.
10 - Roll the dough balls in powdered sugar until covered.
11 - Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the prepared pans.
12 - Pop them in the oven for 8-10 minutes, just until the edges look done.
13 - Move the cookies to a cooling rack once out of the oven.
14 - Microwave the white chocolate until melted. Stir to keep it smooth.
15 - Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate.
16 - Sprinkle the wet chocolate coating with more sprinkles.
17 - Wait for the chocolate to completely firm up.
