01 -
In a small saucepan, melt ½ cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Add 1 ½ cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips, stirring continuously until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
02 -
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together ½ cup of white sugar and ½ cup of packed brown sugar until well combined.
03 -
To the sugar mixture, add 3 large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon salt. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and slightly fluffy. Stir in the chocolate butter mixture.
04 -
Gradually sift in ½ cup of all-purpose flour and ½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder. Gently fold until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
05 -
Fold in 2 cups of roughly crushed Oreo cookies, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
06 -
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8”x8” (20cm x 20cm) baking dish with parchment paper.
07 -
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips and crushed Oreos on top if desired.
08 -
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (for fudgier brownies) or clean (for cakier brownies).
09 -
Allow the brownies to cool in the baking dish for at least 20 minutes. Slice into squares and serve.
