Easy Delicious Pear Crumble (Printable Version)

Warm pears and crunchy walnut-oat topping come together for an irresistible dessert, perfect with ice cream.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pear Filling

01 - 6 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and cut into 1 cm cubes
02 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
03 - Juice of ½ lemon

→ Crumble Topping

04 - ½ cup chopped walnuts
05 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
06 - ½ cup rolled oats
07 - ½ cup brown sugar
08 - 1 teaspoon salt
09 - ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Generously butter an 8x8 inch baking dish, preferably ceramic.
02 - Peel, core, and cut the pears into 1.5 cm pieces. Place them in a medium bowl and toss with lemon juice and cornstarch to thicken the filling. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
03 - In a separate bowl, combine flour, chopped walnuts, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Add the cold butter cubes and use a fork or pastry cutter to mix until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.
04 - Scatter the crumble topping evenly over the pears, breaking up large clumps. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until edges are bubbling and topping is golden brown.
05 - Cool the crumble for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For a crisper topping, chill the crumble mixture before baking.
