Dark Chocolate Oreo (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 113g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter.
02 - 10 crushed Oreos.
03 - 177ml (3/4 cup) vegetable oil.
04 - 372g (3 cups) plain flour.
05 - 40g (1/2 cup) dark cocoa powder.
06 - 400g (2 cups) white sugar.
07 - 118ml (1/2 cup) hot coffee.
08 - 355ml (1 1/2 cups) boiling water.
09 - 30ml (2 tablespoons) white vinegar.
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla.
11 - 2 teaspoons baking soda.
12 - 1 teaspoon salt.
13 - 339g (3 cups) icing sugar.
14 - 1 teaspoon vanilla.
15 - 1/2-1 teaspoon salt for taste.
16 - 95g (1/2 cup) vegetable shortening.
17 - 1 tablespoon (or 2) heavy cream.
18 - 7 ounces marshmallow fluff.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F.
02 - Dust and grease two 8" or 9" round cake tins.
03 - Stir the dry ingredients for the cake.
04 - Mix up all the wet items together.
05 - Stir the dry stuff into the wet until it's smooth.
06 - Divide the batter and bake for 34-38 minutes.
07 - Let everything cool down fully.
08 - Whip shortening and butter till creamy.
09 - Stir in marshmallow puff.
10 - Blend in cream, salt, sugar, and vanilla.
11 - Frost the layers and sprinkle Oreos in between.
12 - Double frosting amounts if covering the sides.

01 - A bit of coffee brings out the chocolate taste.
02 - Swap coffee for more hot water if you'd like.
03 - Using Special Dark cocoa boosts the Oreo flavor.
04 - Adding salt levels out the frosting sweetness.
05 - This makes a basic 'naked' style cake.
