Crispy Buñuelos (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar.
02 - 1/4 teaspoon table salt.
03 - 4 tablespoons sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
04 - 1/2 cup of hot water.
05 - Canola or vegetable oil for frying.
06 - 3 tablespoons softened unsalted butter.
07 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
09 - 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.
10 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.

# Instructions:

01 - In a bowl, stir together cinnamon, salt, baking powder, and flour.
02 - Add butter and mix until crumbly. Stir in sugar, hot water, and vanilla until a dough forms.
03 - Knead the dough till smooth, around 5-6 minutes. Cover, then let it relax for 15 minutes.
04 - Split dough into 15 pieces. Roll each into a 6-7 inch circle.
05 - Briefly cook each circle on a hot skillet, about 10 seconds per side.
06 - Fry in 350°F oil until golden brown. Press the centers during cooking to keep them flat.
07 - Put fried discs on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Toss in cinnamon sugar while still warm.
