Cordon Bleu Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 chicken breasts, no skin or bones.
02 - Salt and black pepper for seasoning.
03 - 1 tablespoon onion powder.
04 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder.
05 - 16 slices of Swiss cheese.
06 - Half a pound of thin ham slices.
07 - Vegetable oil or peanut oil for frying.
08 - 1 cup plain flour.
09 - 4 beaten eggs.
10 - 2 cups panko-style breadcrumbs.
11 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter.
12 - 2 minced garlic cloves.
13 - 3 tablespoons flour.
14 - 2 cups of milk.
15 - 1/4 cup Dijon mustard.
16 - 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese.

# Instructions:

01 - Sprinkle chicken with black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
02 - Cover chicken with cling film and pound until it's about half an inch thick.
03 - Layer 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of each chicken breast, repeat this layering.
04 - Wrap each chicken piece tightly in plastic wrap, twist the ends, and chill for 30 minutes.
05 - Heat your oil to 325°F. Put flour, egg, and panko in shallow dishes to set up your coating station.
06 - Dip each rolled chicken in flour, then egg, and then coat it in breadcrumbs.
07 - Fry each for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. If needed, finish cooking in an oven at 325°F to ensure it hits 165°F internally.
08 - Melt butter and cook garlic. Stir in flour, add milk, and let it thicken. Mix in mustard, Parmesan, and adjust seasoning.
