# Ingredients:

→ Base Elements

01 - 9 ounces of thinly sliced black forest ham, chopped into strips
02 - 8 ounces of Swiss cheese slices
03 - 5 cups of shredded cooked chicken

→ Sauce Mix

04 - 6 tablespoons of butter, unsalted
05 - 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
06 - 3 cups of whole-fat milk
07 - 6 tablespoons of plain flour
08 - 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional)

→ Flavor Add-Ins

09 - 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
10 - ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
11 - ½ teaspoon of table salt
12 - ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (optional)

→ Crunchy Layer

13 - 1 ½ cups of Panko crumbs
14 - 4 tablespoons of soft butter
15 - Fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish, then layer chicken, ham pieces, and Swiss cheese.
02 - Melt butter with flour in a pan to form a paste, stir in seasonings, then slowly add milk while whisking till it thickens, which takes around 4 minutes.
03 - Spread the sauce over the layers, then add the breadcrumb and butter mixture on top.
04 - Leave uncovered and bake for 30-40 minutes, till it bubbles and the top gets golden. Let it cool for 5 minutes before eating.
