Bourbon Balls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for rolling).
02 - 3/4 cup finely crushed vanilla wafers.
03 - 1 cup finely chopped pecans (start with 1 1/4 cups whole).
04 - 3 tablespoons light corn syrup.
05 - 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey (or other liquid).
06 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa.

# Instructions:

01 - In a big bowl, toss in the crumbs, pecans, cocoa, sugar, syrup, and bourbon. Stir it all together thoroughly with a spatula.
02 - Use your hands to knead it until the mix feels smooth and even.
03 - If it’s too sticky, let the mixture chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
04 - Scoop out little portions (around a tablespoon) and shape them into 1-inch balls.
05 - Roll each ball in some powdered sugar until totally coated.
06 - Place them in an airtight container. They taste even better after sitting for 10 days.

# Notes:

01 - Swap bourbon for rum or juice if you'd like.
02 - Toasting the pecans adds a rich flavor.
03 - Use sprinkles or cocoa powder instead of powdered sugar.
