Blueberry Cheese Sweet Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Filling Prep

01 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
02 - 1/4 cup white sugar
03 - 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
04 - 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen

→ Assembly Items

05 - 8-10 wrappers for egg rolls
06 - 1 beaten large egg (to seal the wraps)
07 - Frying oil like vegetable oil

→ Toppings & Dips

08 - Powdered sugar for sprinkling
09 - Optional: honey, syrup, or whipped cream

# Instructions:

01 - Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until it's soft and smooth. Carefully add the blueberries, trying not to squish them.
02 - Lay the egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape in front of you. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of filling onto the center. Fold the bottom corner up over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll up snugly to the top. Use the egg to seal the edges.
03 - Pour vegetable oil into a deep pan until it's about 2 inches deep. Heat it to 350°F and track the temperature with a thermometer.
04 - Put 2-3 rolls at a time in the hot oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they're crispy and golden. Take them out and let them drain on paper towels.
05 - Sprinkle your rolls with powdered sugar while they're still warm. Add some honey, syrup, or a dollop of whipped cream for extra flavor, if you want.

# Notes:

01 - You can bake these in the oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes for a healthier option
02 - They cook well in an air fryer at 375°F for 8-10 minutes
03 - You can assemble these rolls ahead of time, up to a full day, and keep them in the fridge
