Baked Chicken Crunch Strips (Printable Version)

Crunchy, golden chicken tenders baked perfectly with spiced crumbs. A lighter version of a classic dish.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - Cut 1 lb of chicken breasts or tenders into strips
02 - 2 big eggs, whisked until smooth

→ Breading Mixture

03 - ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
04 - 1 cup breadcrumbs, either panko or regular

→ Seasonings

05 - 1 tsp spice mix: paprika
06 - 1 tsp ground garlic
07 - ½ tsp powder made from onion
08 - ¼ tsp black pepper
09 - ½ tsp salt to taste

→ For Coating

10 - Cooking spray made from olive oil

# Steps to Follow:

01 - If your chicken isn't already in tenders, cut it into strips an inch wide. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over it.
02 - Crack eggs into one bowl and give them a good mix. In another, toss breadcrumbs together with Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Take each chicken piece, dunk it into the egg bowl, then give it a roll in the breadcrumb mix. Want it crunchier? Dunk and roll again for double coating!
04 - Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay breaded chicken pieces onto a wire rack placed over a lined baking sheet. Spray a light coat of olive oil over them.
05 - Pop the sheet in the oven and cook for 20 to 25 minutes. Flip them over halfway through. They should be golden and at least 165°F (74°C) inside.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For a super crispy crunch, do a second layer of coating
02 - A wire rack keeps everything evenly crispy
03 - Wait a few minutes before you serve them up
